Everett, WA Parks - page 2
Emma Yule
Park Rating: B
A really nice modern playground for kids to play. I’m sure sponsored by the new YMCA next door. Nothing wrong with it, but not much for adults other than a walking path.
Forest
Park Rating: S
Forest park may be the best park in the Everett Parks system. It has so much to offer. Extensive walking paths through the woods, a wide play area, horseshoes, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and more.
This is a definite S tier park, and worthy of a visit to Everett if you’re in the area.
Garfield
Park Rating: B
Large park in a city block, with modern facilities. Most importantly including a park bench paid for by Starbucks with an Aristotle quote on it. Thank you Starbucks.
Grand Avenue
Park Rating: B
I didn’t get a good photo of this park, but it’s great. Wonderful views of the sound, and a long grassy area to walk through. It also now connects through to the waterfront for pedestrians with a new bridge.
Green Latern
Park Rating: B
Wonderful park and trail right next to Silver Lake. It gets a lower mark from me just because Thornton A. Sullivan park is the prestige Silver Lake park in my opinion. But the walking path here is still awesome and has a great view for the section by the lake.
Hannabrook
Park Rating: A
This one gets an A from me because of its extensive workout equipment which is unique in the Everett parks system. It also has a very nice walking trail around it. Nice spot to visit for some strength training and cardio!
Harborview
Park Rating: A
A rating just for the great view of the sound. And has extensive grassy areas for picnicking. If you’re courageous you can hike down to the train tracks.
Hauge Homestead
Park Rating: B
Nice area by Silver Lake with some facilities. Has a canopy area that you can reserve, would be a nice spot for an event or gathering.
Howarth
Park Rating: S
This is another amazing park. Has some facilities and a grassy area above, and you can drive down then hike into the beach. That involves walking through the woods and across a bridge above the train tracks. The beach is equally is awesome.
This park is quite unique and very worth visiting.
Interurban
Park Rating: F
I would barely classify this as a park. It’s just a small grassy plot. I think the only reason this park exists is to connect with the interurban trail.
