Everett, WA Parks
My dad and I recently (Summer 2024) visited all the parks in Everett, WA over the course of 2 days. This page compiles my ratings for each park along with a few photos. If you're interested in some background on this writeup and project, check out my blog post about it!
Perhaps it goes without saying, but I think all parks are good and a positive for the public. The ratings are just a way of ranking the best parks out of the selection. Maybe you'll find a new spot of interest to check out on a visit to Everett. Some of them are mundane, but there are quite a few that are very unique and worth checking out.
Note: A small number of parks are omitted, like Village Theatre and Maggie's Park. These are arguably so small as to be classified as parks. Additionally, it only includes parks operated by the city of Everett. It does not include any county, state, or federal land. I may expand the list in the future.
American Legion
Park Rating: A
Great park with a nice overview of the sound. Multiple large grassy areas to play in, and also just a scenic spot to park. Thereβs also sports equipment available.
Also neighbors to the Evergreen Arboretum which is free entrance. Well kept and very pleasant.
Overall a very solid park.
Bayside
Park Rating: B
This park is narrow and also a little hard to find at the bottom of a residential neighborhood. Not many amenities here but has a pleasant walking path, with a picnic table and a mural. Downside is itβs right next to Marine View Dr, so you get some traffic noise.
Cascade View
Park Rating: C
Didnβt actually do a full visitation of this park. Itβs a bit difficult to find and park as itβs connected to the school. Rating a C for now, but may reassess in the future.
Century
Park Rating: C
Very small neighborhood park. Itβs pleasant, but thereβs not much to it.
Clark
Park Rating: B
Very sizable park with lots of different facilities. Seems well kept as well.
Deer
Park Rating: C
Another small neighborhood park. Itβs nice, but nothing to write home about.
Doyle
Park Rating: B
Sizable park with a large grassy area. Not too much for facilities besides a playground, but still a nice spot to play or for a picnic.
Drew Nielsen
Park Rating: A
Quaint park near downtown. Thereβs nothing exceptional as far as amenities but thereβs something about the charm of the gazebo and terrace that brings this one up to an A for me.
Edgewater
Park Rating: B
Pretty average park with some tennis courts, basketball courts, and a playground. Comes up to B just on nostalgia factor for me, but nothing too special on paper about it.
Elm Street
Park Rating: C
I think I actually visited the wrong spot for this one. The actual parks seems more substantial than this grassy area I saw. Will reassess later!
